Personal data is specific information about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or specifiable natural person. This includes information such as your name, your address and your phone number.
Collection and processing of personal data
When you access our internet pages, our web servers are automatically collecting general data – especially to secure the system safety. This includes data about e.g. the type of Internet browser and operating system used, the domain name of the Internet service providers, the IP address of the computer used, the name of the website from which you accessed our website (referrer URL), the pages looked at as well as date and duration of your visit.
Evaluation of data
It is not possible for HK PRT to draw any conclusions about specific persons from these data. These data will not be aggregated with data from other sources and will, in addition, be deleted after statistical evaluation.
Additional personal data such as name, address, telephone number or e-mail address will not be recorded unless you give such information voluntarily e.g. when requesting information.
Usage of cookies
Our website uses so-called „cookies“, which serve to make our website more user-friendly, efficient and safer – e.g. with regard to an accelerated navigation on our platform. Moreover, cookies enable us to measure the frequency of page views and the general navigation.
The help function in the menu bar of most web browsers explains how you can prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how you can make sure that your browser informs you when you receive a new cookie or how you can delete all cookies received. Similar functions, such as Flash cookies, which are used by browser add-ons, can be deactivated or deleted by changing the setting of the browser add-on or via the website of the developer of the browser add-on.
Co-operation with external service providers
We commission other companies and individuals to perform tasks for our company, such as the delivery of packages, sending of letters or e-mails, advertisement, performing of payment transactions as well as customer service. These service providers have access to such personal information as is needed to comply with their tasks. They are not allowed to use it for any other purpose. In addition, they are bound to use the information in line with the regulations of this data protection statement as well as the German Data Protection Act (BDSG). If such a commissioned company is a commissioned data processor pursuant to Section § 11 BDSG, we have concluded contracts in accordance with the law.
Commitment of our employees and external service providers
Our employees and the external service providers are, of course, sworn to secrecy as well as to comply with the regulations of the German Data Protection Act.
Purpose-related use of personal data
Any use of your personal data shall only take place in relation to the purposes mentioned and within the scope necessary to achieve these purposes.
Passing on of personal data
As a rule, no personal data is passed on, sold or transferred to third parties.
Exception: We only pass on customer account data and personal data when we are legally obliged to do so or if such passing on of information is necessary to ensure that our general terms of trade or any other agreement is complied with or to safeguard our rights or those of our customers and those of third parties. This includes data exchange with companies specialized in the prevention and minimization of credit card misuse and fraud. It is explicitly stated that the information handed on in these cases is not for economic or commercial purposes as the latter contradicts this data protection statement.
Security of data
HK PRT implements technical and organizational security measures – on the basis of information currently available – to protect any data provided by you against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. Your data is stored in a secure operating environment that is not publicly accessible. Our security measures will be reviewed periodically and improved in line with technological development.
If you want to contact us via e-mail, please note that the confidentiality of the transferred data cannot be guaranteed. The content of unencrypted e-mails can be viewed by third parties. We therefore recommend sending confidential information exclusively via post.
Your e-mail address will solely be used for the purpose of corresponding with you. Your data will neither be used for other purposes nor be passed on to third parties.
